I hope you had a great weekend. I got a lot accomplished. On Friday I drove with Laim to Langley, Coquitlam, Vancouver and Steveston to take architectural pictures for my uncle…stopping, of course, at several Home Sense stores along way, and ending up at the wharf in Steveston for a late lunch and play time at the park. Steveston’s another one of my favorite places: the salty air, the fishermen selling their daily catch on the wharf, the gelato stands, the old cannery buildings, walking around Garry Point with it’s dunes covered in long grass…all add up to a nearly unbeatable sea-side experience. Saturday we picked up Jaedah at long last. She had such a good time, she stayed an extra day in Port Townsend and we really missed her!!
Here’s the last pictures from Lynden. A Million Smiles park on Depot Rd in Lynden is, without a doubt, the best, most fun (free) park we’ve ever been to. It’s has a little kids section and a big kid section with a 30ft high tunnel slide, climbing wall, balance beams etc, and a great creek running next to it that is great for wading in on hot summer days. If you ever get a chance to go, your kids will thank you!

And this is, I believe, my favorite picture of Liam that I’ve taken in a long time: the sparkle in his eye, his genuine smile, his white-knuckled little hands clenching the steering wheel…clearly, in his mind, he’s a real bus driver, bumping down the road, picking up kids on the way to school. He was completely fascinated by this place, and didn’t want to leave “all those sad cars” behind.

My far-too-long-absent camera finally made it’s way home again this weekend as well! Even though I’m saving for the D700, I’m sure delighted to have it back in my hands at long last!
Now it’s back to the task at hand: spring cleaning my kitchen. Hope you have a great day!
