What a productive/sunny/fun/busy week(end)! Which is why you’ve not heard from me since Tuesday. I won’t bore you by driveling on about all the work that was done in and around my house this week…I’ll just skip to some of the good stuff! :)
A sleep over birthday party that I helped my sister with last night, where we spent the night at the TrendWest condos in Birch Bay, WA with 6 little girls. Man, I’d forgotten the ruckus that 6, 7-9 year olds can make! We had hoped that swimming in the pool would tire them out enough to have them in bed on decent time – no such luck. We were rather thankful when the front desk called saying they’d had a complaint about the noise because at least it gave our repeated admonitions some clout: basically “lay down, shut up and get to sleep” …or something along those lines. :) My sister and I did manage to sneak away for a few minutes just before sun-down, and run across the road to the beach for some belly pics! Trish & Dave’s baby will hopefully arrive in 3(ish) weeks!
In the morning the tide was out and we spent a long time searching for shells in tidal pools (rather unexciting ones, here on the Canadian west coast, I find!!), and building sand castles. Here’s a few….I’ll post more next week:
