This session was the last of the (very busy!!) season. 

Because there was a new baby to consider, we had to find an indoor location to shoot at; the Harrison Hotel worked marvelously!  Tons of different backdrops, lots of natural light in spots, great Christmassy ambiance, plus a cute family…perfection.  :)

PS. I should really give a shout out to Atmosphere Floors for the wonderful flooring you see in the pictures – - those lovely carpeted stairs & sitting areas are installed by Atmosphere! ;)  They are the Harrison Hotel’s go-to flooring company and should be yours too! ;)

The grass was such a vivid green, the sky a brilliant blue…only 2.5 weeks ago, but from where I sit today, surrounded in a dark, wet grey, it feels like three months.  So thankful I was able to capture this family again in the sunshine. 

Frank and Crystal are cousins of mine, and we took these pictures at their place about 2km up the road from mine.  It’d been two years since I’d shot them and it was, as ever, a pleasure!  I’m sure you’ll never find seven more well behaved kids!  :)

The kids, I mean.  These two little guys are so adorable, I coulda eaten them for dinner.  Of course I’m not really a cannibal, but you know what I mean! No?  Well, ok then, moving on. :)

Another shoot at Harrison was more than ok with me, since it’s one of my favorite places around.  This family was so fun to shoot.  The little guy wouldn’t stop talking/gesturing/pointing for a second – such an inquisitive kid.  His grandpa built our house and I find that Luca looks just like him.  Not sure exactly who chubby baby Beckett looks like, but he’s awefully adorable too! :)

One with tons of energy: raring to go, no time to sit.  Eager to investigate, looking for fun.   The other brand new: 2 weeks just 2 weeks young.  So chubby, and alert…such a little dear/deer.  (haha, just had to throw that in there :P)    Both so beautiful!

Super excited to be able to spend the day editing last week’s sessions (maybe even finish them??), and get ready for this afternoon/tonight’s 2 sessions.  Big plans for them, fun props, lovely light.  Yum.

{ Ok, these were actually taken in Lethbridge, Alberta, but I’m not going to put “Lethbridge Newborn Photographer” because I really hate the drive out, and so new potential clients would have to pay me A LOT to get  me to  make the trip out just for one session! ;) }

This baby stole my heart.  She’s the 5 week old daughter of my cousins Sarah and Dana.  Sarah is the sister of the bride and was the maid-of-honour at the wedding I shot 2 weeks ago.  Well.  When I saw this little gorgeous baby for the first time in the morning, I couldn’t help thinking to myself “somewhere, sometime today I just HAVE to take pictures of her!”

After dinner at the reception (which was held at an amazing venue called the Gault, that’s located right on the edge of the coulee) the light was so amazing, that I asked Sarah if I could please shoot her and her baby outside.  Thankfully Sarah readily agreed, or I may have had to smuggle Elisha outside on my own for a quick photoshoot!;)

Alright, so that was a fun little diversion for me.  Now back to editing those wedding pics…  :)

I had such a good time taking Chelsea’s maternity a few weeks ago, that I was really looking forward to shooting their newborn’s pictures too.   Wow, these two have good genes – what an adorable baby!! :)

One of the fun things about knowing what you are having in advance, is being able to decorate the baby room accordingly.  This beautiful nursery was so pretty in pink.  Love the wall decals too.

Chelsea, Kevin and Hallie, you guys are uber photogenic…and I hope to see you on the other side of my lens again some time! :)

3 little cow cousins, 2 of them girls born on the  same day (one of the little girls is Elianna, who’s pictures I blogged last week) and 1 little boy born a week later, + 2 older brothers + aunts/mommies + grandma and great grandmas. 

Wheph!  Great fun and a whole lot of cuteness!   Since Grandma and Grandpa are dairy farmers, these little onesies were the perfect outfit for the photoshoot!  Unfortunately the mosquitoes were too bad to really take pictures outside, but we managed to get cute captures indoors all the same.

Thanks girls and grandma…enjoy your adorable little kids and grandkids! :)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an alert newborn!  This chicky was only 12 days old when I took her pictures, but she was sure keeping an eye on everything!  So adorable.  So lively.  So hungry! ;)  At the end of the session she finally settled down and had a snooze.  What a little beauty hey?!
