victoria – iphotographer

Last week we decided to get away for a few days and join my aunt and uncle in Victoria.
On the way to catch the 2:00pm ferry, I realized that I forgot my camera!!  Thankfully, I knew my aunt had hers with her…and I decided to just relax and have a bit of  iphone fun.  I recalled reading...

Osoyoos – Round 4

This was our 4th annual week spent at the Coast Hotel with friends.
I’m telling you: there is no better place to go with kids!  The sand is clean and soft; the water is clear and so shallow (I’m bad with guestimating distances, but you can walk out for AGES and it’s still only at the...

Molly – Part 2

I went for a bike ride with Liam and Jade this afternoon to Opa and Oma’s.
I’ve never seen veggies quite as large as those in Opa’s garden: carrots as thick as my wrist, thigh high green onions (like these in the basket below), and brussel sprout plants as large as shrubs!  I love seeing him tending his garden...

Carefree

We love swinging around here, especially while soaking up the last drops of sun that this great day had to offer.
A day that started with a 1 year old’s photo session (sooo cute – just you wait and see!), carried on into the afternoon splashing in the hot tub with cousins, chillin’ on the back deck...

Two Days at Harrison

One, the Sand Castle Building Field Trip, at the end of the school year.  The other, 6 weeks later; a full day of basking in the sun with family and friends.  Each day wonderful in its own way…it’s just the 6 weeks later part that freaks me out.  How is it possible that we’re more...

It’s Been Years!

Like 20ish since I went to Dinotown.  Since it’s closing for good in 3 weeks I thought I really should go once with the kids: man, it’s sooo much smaller than I remember!  While most things look identical to how they did when I was a kid, things are definitely looking a little run down. ...

Slow to Rise

Undoubtedly one of the best part of summer holidays is the lack of schedule…and blaring alarm clocks.  I love waking up to my kids climbing into bed to hug in the soft sunlight of the new day.  Lounging about ’til one of the kids starts clamouring for breakfast…or the piles of laundry start calling my...

White Rock Rocks – Part 2

So…back to Friday, when Eric had the wonderful idea to have us join him in Abbotsford, and head out to White Rock.
We spend a few relaxing hours soaking in the sun and gorgeous view.  As Murphy’s Law would have it…the tide was in, as it is 99.9% of the time when we go to White...

White Rock…ROCKS!

You’d think we were in Mexico, no?!?  When I saw the (one and only) palm tree on the White Rock promenade, I just had to take some pictures with it, and pretend for a moment that we were thousands of miles south…and Liam insisted on taking this picture of us.  While it may not be the clearest,...
