Down on the Farm

Today was Liam’s preschool field-trip to a dairy farm.  Not just any ordinary farm – this one milks 2800 cows 2x a day!  It started with a hay ride through all the barns, where Liam was amazed…not so much by the number of cows, but at the amount of poop. :)  Then there was a fitting snack of ice-cream before watching the cows on the rotary milking platform that holds 70 cows at once.  Despite all this excitement, Liam’s favorite part of the trip was…the 5 minute bus ride!  It figures. :)

Hi Kristi – Not sure if you remember us but…..I taught the first years of preschool there in BC and from the first year the bus ride was the best thing ever. My own daughter – filling in her “My best part of preschool” sheet drew The BUS! (She’s in college now) Kids will always be the same deep down I guess. Love your blog and how it keeps us in touch with BC. Keep up the great work you’re doing…..

Ha! I thought to myself, “Anita’s probably going to be checkin’ up on me, so I’d better get on it!” :) Actually, it was also a stall tactic to avoid cleaning my WCs!

Cute pics again Kristy. Isn’t it just like kids to be more excited about the trip then the destination eh! Your tulipmania pics are nice too.! Did you get a chance to go to the Tulip Festival on Seabird Island yet? Gorgeous place, the only drawback is you can’t walk amongst the tulips or pic them.
