Thursday was Parent Teachers so Jaedah had the day off of school. Since I’d promised her a day out with just the two of us, I dropped off Liam at my mom’s and we headed out.
We first stopped in New Westminster to some antique shopping – only to find that in the two years since I’ve been to Antique Alley all but 3 of the stores have closed – and 2 of those were only open in the afternoon. Thankfully that wonderful turquoise building is still there. I dream of that building – the color, the texture. Sigh…I wish it was closer to home so I could take pictures by it all the time. Jaedah, on the other hand, wasn’t feeling too into pictures as you can see in the first shot. :P
So, onwards and upwards to Steveston for lunch, shopping [who knew that it could take SOOO long to pick a treat at a toy store?!? Granted, it is a pretty cool store, but 45 minutes is a LONG time! :)], and then to the park.

Jaedah made me completely nauseated on this twirly thing…and then after a few minutes of pushing me, she got the bright idea that we should go on together by spinning me and jumping on my lap. Whewph, I don’t know how kids do it – they must have guts of steel! ….Good times all around! :)
