Welcome to my new blogsite! Delving through the pages of this blog, you'll find galleries of some of the work I've done in the past, and recent posts with images of my life and photography sessions.
I live in Chilliwack, BC with my wonderful husband of 9 years and 2 great kids (a 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son).
I became interested in photography when my daughter was born, but it wasn't until I purchased my first Nikon DSLR in 2006, that I truly fell in love! :) I am a 2010 graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and have my Certificate of Graduation in Professional Photography. I am fascinated my photography's continuous learning curve.

Your Investment

Session Fee: {Families, Babies, Children, Couples, Individuals, Engagements}
$125.00 (does not include images - see below)
Includes a 45 - 75 minute session in the Chilliwack/Fraser Valley area for 1 - 8 persons.
Additional people are $20.00/each.
40-75 images available for viewing in an online album within 10 days of session

Digital Image Prices:
- High-resolution images: $5.00/each
- Entire session's images: $75.00 (**Includes at $25.00 e-coupon to be redeemed at your next photo session!)
Images burned to DVD for your viewing and printing

Wedding Packages:
I apologize - I'm unavailable for wedding commissions at this time. Engagement shoots VERY welcome! :)

My Style

My goal is to capture you and your family's unique and special connections. While I will take some more traditionally posed pictures, I also aim to capture your family having fun, relaxed and real...in fresh, and colourful images that capture your family and children's beauty and spirit.
I shoot with natural light, preferably in late afternoon or early evening, in either country or urban settings - let me know if there's a special place you'd like to go to!
While your clothing is, of course, entirely your choice, there are some elements that ad to a captivating image: layered clothing; outfits that co-ordinate with other sibling's outfits, but do no necessarily match exactly; and whimsical items such as hats, boots, scarves and umbrellas...but ultimately, comfort is key. If you're up for it, bring an outfit change for variation!
Feel free to bring items that reflect your family's hobbies and interests, and we'll incorporate them into the shoot.
While I do shoot literally hundreds of pictures during the shoot, I will select 40 - 65 (colour and black/white - edited according to my artistic discretion) images that are the most stellar and that meet my high standards, to present to you in a private, online album 7 - 10 days after your session. You will receive all of the high-resolution images that you purchase on a DVD for your viewing and printing.

Monkeyin’ Around Preview | chilliwack family photographer

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing this great, highly active family with 4 little boys! :) Terrific, high-paced fun; not too many serious-faced pictures in the bunch I don’t think…just tons of laughs! ;) Here’s a sneak-peak:

Sorry I’ve been MIA lately….we’re caught up in this crazy ride of a whirl-wind called summer holidays. Gymnastic camps, playing at friends and cousin’s houses, sleep-overs, yard work, trips to the walk-in-clinic for lingering ear infections etc. Good times, but man, are the weeks sure flying by!!
