The (New) Object of My Affection

I’m in love.  With color - and spray paint –  and the ease in which you can enliven and add cheer to your home in minutes – in wonderful, instant-gratification fashion.

Take these two chairs, for instance.  One in Jaedah’s room, the other at the phone desk in the kitchen.  Both quite fine, really…but look at what $12.68 worth of paint can do!

The selection of paint colors at Home Depot is absolutely splendid and inspiring!!  I was agog with wild ideas of things that I could paint….I’ve started with the chairs, and plan to further my thrill, by tackling a trunk and pots for the deck.  Good, cheep fun! :)

So…here’s the desk chair.  I love how it picks up various other accents in the room (like that wonderful chair that I’m so glad I went racing out to Winners to buy last week – it was on clearance for 50% off!)!

And Jaedah’s room…which I can’t, in all honesty, say was lacking in color…but you can never have too much of a good thing.  Especially where kids rooms…and chocolate…and sunshine are concerned.

 Sunshine.  Sigh.

And then there’s these little dudes, hunkering down out of the drizzle on this first day of summer, completely oblivious to anything other than their snacks and sharing tall tales of holiday fun to come.

Have a great summer…week…day!  We hope to – sunshine or not.

Oh boy, love what you did with those chairs! Amazing how a lick of paint cheers things up.
